Internal Framing Guide

Internal framing is the skeleton you build inside the steel shell. It holds your insulation, carries your wiring and plumbing, gives you something to fix linings, joinery and fixtures to, and turns the corrugated interior into flat, square walls. It also costs you width, and in a container every millimetre counts.

The trick is to use the least framing you can while still giving yourself room for insulation and services. This guide covers the options, how to fix framing to the container without wrecking the insulation or the steel, and how to lay out walls, ceilings and floors.
